There’s something about returning to a space you once loved.Not because I feel like I “should” or I have to, but because I’ve grown and I’m ready. It fits again.
This blog use to hold a different version of me. And while I’m always grateful for every era I’ve entered. I’m not that person anymore. Lately my world has slowed down (it still gets hectic over here lol), however everything is more intentional.
More books. More creating. Back to building something that actually feels like MINE!
That is what this new chapter is about.
Where I’ve Been
- I’m back in my reading bag. I feel like I’ve come back home lol. Iykyk, I’ve always enjoyed reading and now I’m doing it more intentionally. Not for aesthetics but to get back to the root of ME.
- I’ve been building a bookish merch space inspired by black stories. Black romance, urban romance, urban fiction, black fantasy, BLACK BLACK BLACK!
- I’ve been creating Youtube videos that makes me happy and not just “popular” “aesthetic” content. I’ve also become a book content creator, where I review books I’ve read and connect with readers who share the same regard.
Somewhere within this journey it all clicked, I don’t want a loud life. I want a meaningful one. I don’t want to be the most popular content creator, I want real connection.
And I want this blog to reflect that.

Cozy BUT Still A BIG DEAl
There’s this idea that if you’re not loud than you’re not serious. It’s giving if you don’t post it, it didn’t happen (eeeeyuck). I most definitely don’t subscribe to that anymore.
You can romanticize your reading life and still build a business. You can go quiet and still move forward and this blog is where all of it lives. Books, Creativity, Merch, Content, Growth. All of the makings of Kanitra.
